The panel at the door and the handset in the flat are different jobs.
A video door station lets a resident see a visitor and release the strike. A camera in the lobby records the common room for the committee. They are not substitutes.
Video door station. The lens is for the call to the flat. It is not the building’s recorder.
8 flatsTypical intercom. The panel price covers up to eight names. Above that, we quote the actual head.
360ILS for an audio handset while we are already in the building. A separate visit is 530.
2,860ILS for a video door station on a working riser. Residents keep their handsets. Strike is extra.
4,660ILS, VAT included. Eight handsets at 360 and a panel with strike at 1,780.
Indoor handset. On an audio renewal this is what each flat gets, at 360 ILS while we are already in the building.
Audio first, if the riser is sound
Most Holon and south Tel Aviv stairs still have a pair of wires that can carry a voice and a buzz. If one flat still rings, we treat the riser as working. An eight-flat audio renewal on that riser is eight handsets at 360 ILS and a panel with strike at 1,780 ILS, which is 4,660 ILS including VAT. That is the example on the home page.
A handset replaced on its own, when we are not already in the building, is 530 ILS because the trip is the cost. Tell us if only one flat is dead. We would rather change one handset than sell a whole panel.
The panel price covers up to eight names. Above that, the hardware changes and we quote the actual head rather than stretch the card. Bring the count of flats, not a guess from the mailbox labels, some of which belong to people who left in 2014.
What the door station does, and what it does not
During a call, the resident sees the person at the panel and can speak, then press to release the strike. When nobody is calling, that lens is not a diary of the pavement. If the committee wants a record of who passed the lobby at 14:10 on Tuesday, that is a visible camera and a recorder, described on the systems page.
A video door station fitted while residents keep their audio handsets is 2,860 ILS on a working riser. The strike, if the old one is tired, is 420 ILS on the same visit. Indoor monitors, so the flat sees a picture rather than only hearing a voice, are 990 ILS each while we are there. Eight monitors, the door station, and a strike come to 11,200 ILS. A monitor fitted on a separate visit, one flat only, is 1,180 ILS.
The door leaf still has to close by itself. We will not hang a new strike on a door that drags. A code keypad, metal and lit, on a lock supply that already exists, is 1,460 ILS. It does not remove the need for the committee to decide who knows the code, and we will not paint the code on the panel.
The riser decides the day
Count floors, including the ground. Say whether there is one stair or two. If the old cable still rings a flat, say which flat, so we can test that pair first. If nothing rings, do not let a quote assume the cheap line. Surface conduit where the riser is dead is 690 ILS a floor, along the stair, in trunking a resident can see. It looks like trunking. Residents can see it. It is plain, and it works. Core drilling through a beam is extra and is priced before we switch the hammer drill on.
We need the cupboard or the meter door open, because the power supply for the panel is often sitting on a dusty shelf there, not in the panel itself. If the supply is dead, the panel may be innocent. That is a large part of what the 45-minute diagnosis is for.
Passwords and names
On a new panel we leave one admin login with the person the committee names. Factory passwords get changed the same day. If a previous installer holds the code and will not release it, tell us before we travel. Some panels can be reset on the bench. Some are scrap without the code, and the honest quote is a replacement. We would rather you heard that on the phone than after we have unscrewed the old plate.
Name labels on the panel are the committee’s text. We fit what you write down: flat numbers, or surnames, in the spelling you approve. We do not invent a directory from the intercom that is already peeling.
A call is not a recording of the stair
Voice on the intercom is the conversation required to decide about the door. It is not a microphone left running on the landing. We do not add that, and we decline it if it is asked for. Picture-only cameras, if you want them as well, are a separate line and a separate decision of the committee, with signs.
If you already know the flats, the floors, and who has the password, send the desk a note. If you only know that the buzzer is dead, call 03-558-4726 on a working day and we will start with the diagnosis rather than a new system.
