The camera belongs on the panel people already use.
Entry Latch fits visible door entry and cameras for apartment buildings, small offices, and mixed buildings in Gush Dan. The owner, the house committee, or a management company the committee has already authorised. A tenant does not order the stair alone.
A video door station at an apartment entrance. The camera is on the panel. It does not replace a camera in the lobby.
In sightWhat is visible. A dome, a bullet, or the lens on the door station. A resident can see it. Signs go up the same day.
8 flatsTypical intercom. An audio panel covers up to eight names when at least one handset still rings.
AnnualService interval. One building a year: lenses, the clock, disk health. 890 ILS, VAT included.
2,860ILS, VAT included. A video door station at the street door. The strike, if the old one is tired, is 420.
The menu
A price before anyone leaves HaMelacha.
October 2026, shekels, VAT at 18% already inside the figure. A written quote after a visit replaces this sheet. It is not a promise that a recording will settle a dispute.
A Tel Aviv residential entrance. The panel is small. The door is the job. Travel from Holon is an ordinary morning.
The order of a job
Three things, before a figure.
The committee first.
The person who hires us is the owner, the house committee, or a management company the committee has already authorised. Common property — the street door, the lobby, the stair, the bin room — is not ordered by one flat. We will not take the job from the tenant alone.
Then the riser.
If a handset in at least one flat still rings, the panel price on the card applies. If every flat is silent, surface conduit is 690 ILS a floor, on the stair, where a resident can see the trunking. Core drilling is priced on site, before the drill starts.
Then one password.
On handover we change the factory password, write the new one on paper, and give that paper to the chair or the management company. We do not post it in the building’s WhatsApp group, and we do not keep a copy unless a service retainer says we may log in to repair.
The visit
What happens, in order.
Nothing is in the diary until the desk replies, on a working day. The clock is Asia/Jerusalem.
Desk hours, Asia/Jerusalem
01Write or call
Floors, counting the ground. Whether the riser still rings. Who holds the password. The form builds a WhatsApp note. It does not book the diary.
02A day is named
Sunday to Thursday, or Friday morning. We look at the door, the cupboard, and one flat if the committee can open it. Saturday is closed.
03A figure in writing
The card on this page is not the quote. The visit replaces it. If the riser is dead, or a camera has to cross a roof, we stop and price that before anyone approves it.
04The committee approves
Then we order the panel and book the work. Until that reply, nothing is reserved.
05The entrance
An electric strike releases a latch. It does not pull a dragging door into the frame. If the leaf does not shut by itself, we do not fit a strike.
06The cupboard
Recorder locked, clock set, one admin user, signs in Hebrew and English at the door the same day. The footage stays the building’s.
October 2026 rate card
It is in shekels and it includes VAT at 18%. It is not a tender. Ask the desk and we reply on a working day.

Israeli trade sheets and reported building jobs through 2026 sit in a recognisable band. A four-camera building set, VAT included, was commonly quoted around 3,500 to 5,300 ILS. An eight-flat audio renewal on a working riser was commonly around 3,900 to 5,000 ILS. An IP set of about eight to twelve cameras was commonly 8,000 to 15,000 ILS, and a ten-camera IP job in Tel Aviv has been reported near 12,000 ILS. Handsets fitted during a building visit were often near 300 to 450 ILS, and an indoor video monitor near 850 to 1,000 ILS. A technician visit with no parts was often near 260 to 360 ILS. Our card is written inside that band for October 2026, with VAT at 18% already inside the number. If the statutory VAT rate changes before the invoice, the invoice uses the rate in force. See terms.
Questions a house committee actually asks
The owner of a private entrance, the house committee of a shared building, or a management company that can show the committee asked them to. Common property — the street door, the lobby, the stair, the bin room, the car park gate — is not ordered by one flat. If you are a resident with a complaint about the entrance, ask the chair to call us. We will happily talk the chair through the options. We will not fit a camera because one neighbour is annoyed with another.
Floors tell us how far the cable has to travel and whether we are on a ladder or on a stair of eight landings. Count the ground floor. Say if there are two stair cores, a roof door, or a car park under the building. The number of flats matters for handsets. The number of floors matters for the riser and for any camera that has to see the top landing. A four-flat house over a shop is a different day from a twelve-flat stair with a locked roof.
The riser is the vertical shaft, or the old conduit, that already carries the intercom cable from the street door to the flats. If a handset in at least one flat still buzzes, we call the riser working and the panel price on the card applies. If every flat is silent, or the conduit is full of someone else’s satellite cable and we cannot pull a new one, the riser is dead. Surface conduit on the stair is 690 ILS a floor on the card. If we would have to core-drill a beam, we price that on site and we do not start until you have seen the number.
One named person: the committee chair, or the management company. On handover we change the factory password, write the new one on paper, and give that paper to the person you name. We do not keep a copy after handover unless you sign a service retainer that says we may log in to repair. We will not change a password the management company already holds unless they say so in writing. If nobody knows the password, say so. Some old panels can be reset. Some cannot, and then the honest quote is a new panel, not a morning of guessing.
A video door station is the panel at the street door. Its camera and speaker are for the call: the resident sees the visitor and decides whether to release the strike. It is not, by itself, a recorder of the whole day. A lobby camera is a separate camera, mounted where people can see it, recording to the box in the cupboard so the committee can look back at an incident. The door station does not watch the stair. The lobby camera does not open the door and it does not let a resident speak to a courier. Many buildings need both. The difference is written out on the intercom page and the systems page.
No. The default is one admin user for the chair or the management company. Extra viewers are added only if the committee writes their names. A building-wide login shared on WhatsApp is how recordings leak, and we will not set the system up that way. The app uses the building’s own internet at the cupboard. If there is no line in that room, remote viewing is not part of the price until a line exists. Residents still use the intercom handset or monitor in the flat for the door. That is a different login from the recorder.
That is a committee decision, set on the recorder. We offer 7, 14, or 30 days, then the disk overwrites itself. If the committee does not choose, we set 14 days and we write that on the handover sheet. A longer keep needs a larger disk and a reason the committee is willing to own. We do not keep a copy of the building’s footage on our own machines, and we do not use it in advertisements. The footage is the building’s data. Read the privacy notice.
Sometimes the picture is clear. Sometimes it is a hood, a bad angle, a wet lens, or a day the disk has already overwritten. We do not sell a result. We sell a visible camera, a disk that is actually recording, a clock set to the right time, and a password the chair can use. If you need a clip for the police or for the insurer, the password holder exports it, or we export it during a service visit if the committee asks in writing. We do not promise a face, a number plate, or a conviction.
No. Stair and lobby cameras are picture only. The intercom carries the voice of the person at the door and the person in the flat, for that call, so someone can decide about the strike. We do not add a soundtrack recorder for the stair, and we switch off camera microphones where the model has one. If a committee asks for audio on a common stair, we decline.
For a repair we look for up to 45 minutes. If the fault is a handset, a power supply, a loose pair, or a strike that has stuck, we say so and we price the part before we fit it. If we cannot find a fault and we fit nothing, we do not charge the diagnosis visit. A booked survey, where you asked us to come and write a quote, is 280 ILS and is credited if you order within 60 days. The annual visit is lenses, the clock, and a look at whether the disk is failing. Details are on the service page.
Sunday to Thursday, 19:00 to 22:00, and only when the entrance strike is dead and residents cannot get into the building. The call-out is 490 ILS on top of parts. A noisy handset, a camera that has gone dark, or a password someone forgot waits until the next working morning. We do not roll after 22:00. Friday after 13:00 and all of Saturday, including a lockout, are closed. A door that will not shut because the closer has failed is a locksmith’s job until we are open. Keep a locksmith’s number on the committee phone.
Friday the desk is open 08:00 to 13:00, and we will book a Friday morning job inside those hours. Saturday the workshop, the phone, and WhatsApp are closed. A message sent on Saturday is read on Sunday. The quote form will not accept a Saturday date.
No. An electric strike releases the latch. It does not pull a dragging door into the frame, and it does not replace a closer that has died. If the door does not shut and latch on its own, we say so and we do not fit a strike until a carpenter or a locksmith has made the leaf close. Otherwise the new strike fails in a month and the committee thinks the intercom is the problem.
Our ordinary round is about 20 kilometres by road from 18 HaMelacha Street in Holon. That covers Holon, Bat Yam, Azor, most of Tel Aviv-Yafo, Ramat Gan, Givatayim, Or Yehuda, and the near side of Rishon LeZion, Petah Tikva, and Bnei Brak. Herzliya, Ramat HaSharon, and Rehovot are the edge: we will say if the travel spoils the day. Netanya, Jerusalem, Ashdod, and Haifa are outside the round. The list is on the areas page, with the awkward quarters named rather than smoothed over.
No. The form checks the phone number and the day, then opens WhatsApp with a note for the desk. We do not have a server storing the form. Nothing is in the diary until someone at the desk replies, by WhatsApp or by phone, on a working day. If you prefer, call 03-558-4726 between the hours above.
Common entrances, the lobby, the stair, the bin room, a car-park gate, an office reception, under an eave looking at a door the building owns. Mounted in sight, with a sign. We do not aim a camera into a flat, at a neighbour’s window, or at a private balcony. If the only way to see a door is also to see into a bedroom, we move the camera or we leave that door off the plan. The committee’s decision and the signs are part of the job, not an extra the chair discovers later.
If you already know the building
Write the floors, the riser, and who holds the password. The desk would rather have a short honest note than a long guess. Open the quote form. If the entrance is locked out tonight and it is Sunday to Thursday before 22:00, call 03-558-4726 and say it is a lockout.
